You can also use this basket to hold Bananas on the top and apples, pears, etc on bottom. Many people don't know this, but bananas give off a gas that will make fruit with peelings, such as apples, turn bad. So it is best to keep your bananas separated from the rest of your fruit. It will also hold spices, vitamins, and medicines. And it will make a functional serving basket.
